She joined Lake Travis ISD in March 2001.

The LTISD FANS Department is a non-profit, self-funded food service program offering approximately 4,000 quality, nutritionally sound breakfast and lunch meals daily for students and staff on all campuses.  Lake Travis parents and other visitors are welcome to enjoy campus meal services.  All breakfast and lunch meals served meet nutrition requirements and guidelines as established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Texas Department of Agriculture, and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.  All campuses also adhere to the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy.

LTISD FANS participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.  Free and Reduced-Price meals ($0.30 - breakfast/$0.40 - lunch) are available to students who qualify according to household size and income.

Additionally, catering services are available for District staff, campus organizations, parent groups, and the general Lake Travis community.  Proceeds received from these services are reinvested into FANS.

Nutrition education is offered through interactive programs in all campus cafes, classroom presentations, and parent meetings.
