Pamela Carroll is the Director of Community Programs.  Born in Hector, Arkansas, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Special Education from the University of Central Arkansas, followed by a double major Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood and Learning Disabilities.

 

Pamela has more than 20 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist, regular and special education teacher, and administrator, serving school districts in Arkansas and Texas, as well as the Texas Education Agency Prior to joining Lake Travis ISD in 2007, Pamela served as the Director of Student Support Services in the Grapevine-Colleyville school district and as the Director of Special Education in the Highland Park school district in Dallas She has also served on many state committees and holds eight certifications from the State Board of Educator Certification.  

 
One of the department's main goals is to provide additional avenues for student success beyond the school day via such programs as Extended Care, After School Enrichment Classes, Summer Camps, and Summer Squires.  Additionally, community partnerships are developed and fostered by collaborating with business, civic, and nonprofit organizations, as well as coordinating facility use agreements, PTO/PTA leadership forums, mentor services and volunteer services, and Tuesday Folder notices (elementary only).
