Board meetings are generally scheduled at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the Live Oak Room at the Educational Development Center. The Board of Trustees consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, overlapping terms of three years each. Trustees are elected for rotating three-year terms; elections are held annually in May. Although candidates run for specific places, they do not represent specific geographical areas. Rather, each represents Lake Travis ISD at-large. Following the annual election, the Board elects a president, vice-president and secretary to serve one-year terms. The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting policies, establishing an annual budget and selecting the Superintendent. Read the Board-adopted Core Commitments*. Download the Board Member's Creed*, Code of Ethics* and Board Operating Procedures*. To express a concern regarding a specific school, teacher or child, dialogue should begin at the level closest to the concern.
