The Texas Education Agency is developing a new accountability system based on the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) tests as well as other indicators. Information is available at the 2013 Accountability Development site. Note that no state accountability ratings will be assigned in 2012-2013 Public Hearing January 22, 2013 Federal Accountability Adequate Yearly Progress - (AYP) Lake Travis ISD met the AYP standard at the district level and at each campus level. AYP is part of the federal accountability system brought about by NCLB (No Child Left Behind). AYP indicators include performance and participation in state assessments in the area of Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics as well as Graduation Rate and Attendace Rates for elementary and middle schools. No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Lake Travis ISD is sharing this information about the district and our campuses as part of District’s obligations under Section 1111(h)(2) of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).
