    SENIOR DATES & DEADLINES
     
     
    Balfour Presentations for Cap & Gown and other graduation items:
     
     
    Monday, February 24th - Balfour will do presentations in English "A" Day classes of seniors.
     
    Tuesday, February 25th - Balfour will do presentations in English "B" Day classes of seniors.
     
    Thursday, February 27th - Balfour will host Parent Q&A night in main street from 5pm-7pm. 
    Parents may place orders and ask questions.  Students may also attend.  This is a come and go.
     
    Thursday, February 27th - Balfour will be here to take orders during all 3 lunches in the cafeteria.
     
    Friday, February 28th - Balfour will be here to take orders during all 3 lunches in the cafeteria.
     
    Friday, March 13th - Deadline to get in orders for Balfour items.  After this date, a late fee of $25 will be added to orders.

    ATTENTION ADMITTED TEXAS A&M SENIORS!!

     

    Mr. David Schwartz, Texas A&M Admissions Counselor, will be here on

    Friday, February 21 to meet with students who have been admitted to Texas A&M.

    He will answer all of your questions and be providing you with valuable information.

    Meetings will take place in the Counseling Office Conference Room.

    Please sign up for an appointment on the SignUp Genius that was sent to your

    email and use your SignUp Genius confirmation/reminder that was emailed to you as your pass from class.

    Friday, February 21, at 2:00 to meet with students interested in applying to Texas A&M.

    Please register on the College Visit Calendar if you would like to attend.

     

    2020 - 2021 ACC CLASSES AT LTHS

     

    Students (and Parents) interested in taking Austin Community College courses on the LTHS campus next summer

    or next fall should plan to attend an information meeting covering how to apply to ACC and which classes to take.

    In addition to learning about the application process, we will also discuss how ACC classes fit into the

    LTHS schedule and how ACC Dual Credit courses can impact college admissions and the cost of college.

     

    You MUST attend one of the following meetings:

    Tuesday, February 18 at 6:30 pm Recital Hall BLACK BOX THEATRE

    Wednesday, February 19 at 8 am Black Box Theater/Main Campus

    Wednesday, February 19 at 4:15 pm Black Box Theater/ Main Campus

     

    Because of the large number of students enrolling in ACC courses, Counselors are unable to meet

    individually with parents and students to review this information. Please attend a group meeting or

    access a recorded version of the meeting. Small group workshops to assist with

    enrollment in ACC classes will be held before and after school during specific weeks.

    Please sign up in Main Counseling for small group assistance.

     


    COURSE REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2020

     

    Skyward will open on February 20th for all students to begin selecting their classes.

    All selections will need to be completed by March 13th

     

    The counselors will be going to classrooms the following dates in order to guide

    students with the selection of their classes for next year:

     

    Rising 10th Graders

    February 26th-March 12th

    World Geography classes

     

    Rising 11th Graders

    February 24th-27th

    World History Classes

     

    Rising 12th

    March 9th-12th

    English 3 classes

     

    Parents and students are encouraged to carefully review student four year plans and

    course choices for the next school year and make any necessary changes in their Skyward account.

    SAT SCHOOL DAY TESTING FOR JUNIORS

    LTHS will administer the SAT on March 25 to all JUNIOR STUDENTS during the school day.

    This is the standard SAT that is most often given on Saturdays.

    There is no charge for this test and no registration is necessary.

    All students will be enrolled to take the test.

    Students will be able to send test scores to their choice of colleges and universities.

    Students will receive documented accommodations as approved by College Board.

     

    For test scores to be valid, the student must take the entire test.

    Testing will begin promptly at 9 am. Please be on time.

    The Lake Travis Education Foundation Scholarship application is now open!

    Last year LTEF awarded 15 scholarships to LTHS Seniors.

    For more information, and to apply, please visit the

    the Scholarship Bulletin on the Counseling website.

    Deadline is March 11, 2020.
