Holly Morris-Kuentz is the District's Deputy Superintendent. A native of San Antonio, Holly obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University. She began her career in education in 1997 as a teacher at the Winston School San Antonio. Holly then served the Alamo Heights district as a high school English teacher. In 2005, she was employed at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York where she served as the Director of Instructional and Research Technology.
She began her tenure at Lake Travis ISD in March 2009 as the District’s Instructional Technology Coordinator. A year later, Holly served as Director of Educational Support Services followed by Executive Director for Administrative and Human Resource Services. She then served as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resource Services, Assistant Superintendent for Human Capital and Community Services, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent for Administrative and Community Services.
As Deputy Superintendent, Holly provides leadership for each campus principal, as well as the Athletics, Communications, Development & Corporate Relations, and Legal Services departments. She works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders on a number of operational functions including attendance zones, safety and security, and student transfers.
Holly and her husband, John, a Lake Travis teacher, are the proud parents of Timothy—a Lake Travis High School graduate—and two Cavaliers, Mikaela and Samuel.
