Mr. Brown is entering his fifth year as the Director of Speech & Debate at Lake Travis High School. He is entering his 13th year teaching, and has taught in other Texas school districts including Crandall and Caroll. He has taught in both public and private institutions. He has coached multiple University Interscholastic League State Champions and Finalists in Extemporaneous Speaking, Cross-Examination and Congressional Debate. He has helped students advance to the Texas Forensic Association State Finals, the National Speech & Debate Association National Tournament and the Tournament Of Champions in similar events. David was an active CX Debater in high school and primarily competed in Parliamentary Debate while attending college at the University of Texas at Tyler, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations in 2010.

Mr. Brown and his wife Stephanie make their home in the Austin area.
