Lee Scheffe is a senior at Lake Travis High School in his fourth year of debate. Lee is incredibly excited to serve the Speech and Debate team as president during this 2019-20 season. During his time on the speech and debate team, Lee has competed in numerous events, with his focus being on Lincoln Douglass debate (LD) and Foreign Extemporaneous speaking (FX).
In LD, Lee competed and saw success at both the local and state levels. Lee qualified to the prestigious TFA State tournament two years in a row, and competed his way into the top 32 competitors in his event. Lee also qualified to the UIL state tournament, and finished as the 7th best LD debater in the State. in FX, Lee collected state qualifying points.
Outside of debate, Lee is an accomplished mountain biker, finishing top 20 in the state in his division. Additionally, Lee is heavily involved in multiple service organizations, being the president of his chapter of Young Men's Service League and an active member of the National Honor Society.
