PSAT/NMSQT

  • LTHS will be hosting PSAT for grades 9, 10, and 11 on October 18, 2023.

Beginning Fall 2023, the PSAT will be a digital assessment - paper exams are no longer available unless required as an approved College Board accommodation.

FOR HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY: Per TEA guidelines, LTHS will allow residents of LTISD in grade 11 not enrolled in LTHS (homeschool or virtual academies) to take the PSAT NMSQT on our campus.  This is only available to grade 11 students who are residents of LTISD.  Please use this form to sign up if you or your student qualify to test at LTHS and are not currently enrolled at LTHS.  The form will close on October 4, 2023.

LTHS Students do NOT need to sign up for the PSAT!  This is the activity planned for the morning of Wednesday October 18 for all students enrolled at LTHS grades 9-11.

Freshmen and sophomore PSAT is practice - practice exams are available online and can be taken here through Khan Academy.  There are no make up exams given at LTHS, so the online Khan Academy exam is the best option for students in grades 9 and 10 who are absent on the day of the PSAT.

Junior PSAT is linked to the National Merit Scholarship Program.  It can NOT be administered remotely - students must come to campus to take the exam. There is not a make up exam given at LTHS.  To be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Program without a PSAT score, please see this guide regarding alternative entry options.

*No need for students to register through College Board for these exams - all students present on October 18, 2023 in grades 9, 10, and 11 will be taking the exam.  No make up exams will be offered at LTHS.*
