- Welcome Back
-
- On behalf of our school board and the LT family, let me begin by wishing you a Happy New Year! It is difficult to fathom that we are already well into the second half of the 2022-2023 school year. As I pause to reflect on the fall semester, I am thankful to this amazing community for its support of our school district. It is through this support that our district, and ultimately our students, will continue to successfully work together throughout the coming year.

- School Board Month
-
- With the theme “Forward, Together,” LTISD will join other districts across the state to recognize and thank school trustees for their service throughout January 2023 as part of School Board Recognition Month. Now more than ever, our community benefits every day from the tireless work and countless hours contributed by the seven men and women who represent more than 1,400 employees, 11,400 students, and our families. We will recognize trustees during the regular board meeting on January 18. Additionally, school administrators will celebrate trustees with campus activities throughout the month. Learn more about our school board at www.ltisdschools.org/ltboard.

- Legislative Session
- The regular session of the 88th Legislature will convene on Tuesday, January 10. Our school board will prioritize legislative considerations at its regular meeting on January 18. These priorities will be shared with our area legislators and will focus primarily on funding, accountability, and elections. Lake Travis ISD supports legislation that seeks to improve public school education in an impactful and innovative way. Once approved by our school board, we will post our Legislative Priorities on our District website. Senior staff and I will keep our community updated throughout the session on matters which may potentially impact our district.
