• Early Childhood Night

    • Our Special Services Department held its first “Early Childhood Night” on Thursday, September 7 at Serene Hills Elementary School.

    • This was a wonderful opportunity for our parents and families to receive some great information on ways to facilitate language at home, basic tools for behavior management, and strategies for hiccups between home and community activities.

    • Thank you to our parents and families for taking the time to attend this important event!

    School Safety & Security

    • We are excited to share that Doff Fisher and Steven Howell have joined the ranks of our Lake Travis ISD police department. The officers were officially sworn in for duty on Tuesday, September 5.

    • We are in the process of hiring additional officers. In all, we will have three officers at the high school, one officer at each middle school, and one officer at each of our elementary schools.

    • If you have been at Lake Travis High School during the past couple of days, you may have noticed new guard houses have been installed along Cavalier Drive and Spillman Loop (on the north and south sides of the campus).

    • While not yet activated, these devices will be operational during the school day only between 8:50 am and 4:10 pm, Monday through Friday.

    • Please note, the guard houses are not intended to create delays, additional traffic or restrict student access. Instead, the intent of these guard houses is to provide stronger security measures, controlled access, and accountability for visitors on campus during the school day.

    • Communication to parents will be provided prior to activation. Once in operation, we ask for your patience and cooperation.

    • The project was funded through the recent 2022 Bond in November.

    Transportation Eligibility and FAQs

    • Here is a link to the letter we sent to parents on September 5 regarding ridership eligibility and responses to frequently asked questions pertaining to our transportation services for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Remembering 9/11

    • Monday, September 11 will mark the 22nd anniversary of the attacks on America.

    • As we do each year, classroom lessons and other educational activities have been planned for students as we remember those who lost their lives as well as honor our nation’s military and first responders.
