Degrees and Certifications:
As a native Texan, I grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduating from high school, I moved to San Marcos, Texas and attended Texas State University. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration. My first job was at State Farm as a claims adjuster and USAA as a claims adjuster. During this time, I obtained my Master’s degree in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University. After working in the business sector, I decided to change paths and pursue a career in education.
I began my career at Northside Independent School District as a special education teacher. My positions included PPCD, inclusion and content mastery teacher. During this time, I obtained my Master’s degree in educational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University. From there, I moved to North East Independent School District, where I was a special education teacher for one year and I began my career as an assistant principal for ten years.
In July of 2016, I moved to the Austin area to be closer to family. I was very fortunate in being named the assistant principal at Bee Cave Elementary School. Last year I was chosen as an assistant principal at Hudson Bend Middle School. I am delighted to be a member of the Hudson Bend school community. I have a true passion for working with children and families to create a nurturing environment for learning and success. I am committed to doing what is best for students and providing them opportunities to grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
