DIGITAL MILLENNIUM COPYRIGHT ACT NOTICE
The District expects that all users of any part of the District’s websites will comply with applicable copyright laws. It is the policy of the District to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and to take appropriate action. Section 512 of the DMCA outlines the statutory requirements necessary for formally reporting copyright infringement, as well as providing instructions on how an affected party can appeal a removal by submitting a counter-notice.
The District has adopted policies regarding copyright law in accordance with the DMCA. A copy of the District’s policies are located on the Lake Travis ISD Board Policy CY (LEGAL) and (LOCAL) pages. Consistent with the requirements of the DMCA, the District will, in appropriate circumstances, take action, including but not limited to, disabling and/or terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
If you believe that material or content residing on or accessible through the District’s websites or services infringes on a copyright, please send proper written notice regarding the alleged infringement to the Designated Agent listed below via either the email indicated here or via U.S. mail to the address below and to the attention of the Designated Agent:
