Child Development Center

Our Commitment to Quality Early Learning

The Lake Travis ISD Child Development Centers (CDCs), located at Lake Pointe Elementary and Lake Travis Elementary, provide high-quality early learning experiences for children from infancy through three years old.

Our programs focus on play-based learning in small, nurturing classrooms, where low teacher-to-child ratios allow each child to receive individualized attention and form strong, trusting relationships with their teachers.  Both centers are proud to hold Texas Rising Star-accredited programs, a recognition of our commitment to excellence in early childhood education.

Our programs use the Frog Street Curriculum, a nationally recognized, research-based approach that blends purposeful play with structured learning to support social-emotional, language, literacy, math, and early problem-solving skills. Our teachers, trained in Conscious Discipline, create safe, nurturing classrooms where children develop self-regulation, empathy, and positive communication.

The Child Development Centers operate under the direction of the Lake Travis ISD Community Programs Department, led by Suzi Menfi, Director, and Tera Dunn, Assistant Director. Each campus has a licensed Child Care Site Supervisor on-site to provide daily support for parents, teachers, and staff, ensuring a safe and well-managed learning environment.

At our CDC campuses, we partner with families to build strong foundations for lifelong learning, curiosity, and success in school and beyond.
