Communications & Community Relations
The Office of Communications & Community Relations is charged with developing and fostering effective, two-way communication between the school district and its internal and external constituencies; creating awareness and building support of school district programs, services, events, and activities; and promoting student achievement by utilizing all effective means of communication.
The department has five employees who are committed to communicating the mission, goals, and challenges of the District and its campuses by providing accurate and timely information via several outlets, including the District's website, School Matters (community blog), Finalsite (urgent/weather-related/crisis communication), and social media tools such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).

- marketing and promotions
- media relations
- public affairs/governmental relations
- public information
- public relations issues management and consultation
- social media strategy
- special event planning
Additionally, Lake Travis ISD's media policy requires that all media-related requests be made through the Communications & Community Relations Department.
