Advisory Committee on Education (ACE)

In compliance with law, the District shall establish an Advisory Committee for Education (ACE) to advise the Board or its designee in establishing and reviewing the District improvement plan [see BQ Local Policy], as well as the District's educational goals, performance objectives, and major District-wide classroom instructional programs.

LTISD ACE is a district advisory group of stakeholders providing feedback and communication to District staff and the Board of Trustees.  The work of ACE is supported by site-based decision making, a process for decentralizing and gathering feedback for decisions to improve the educational outcomes at every school campus. This collaborative effort by principals, teachers, campus staff, district staff, parents, and community representatives assesses educational outcomes of all students, determines goals and strategies, and ensures that strategies are implemented and adjusted to improve student achievement.
