Ms. Shannon Gill

Ms. Gill is in her third year as the Director of Fine Arts at Lake Travis ISD, bringing over 20 years of experience in education and instructional leadership in the fine arts across both public school and collegiate levels. Her diverse roles have included District Coordinator of Instrumental Music-Percussion at Zapata ISD, Assistant Band Director at McNeil, Georgetown, Anderson, and Grapevine High Schools, as well as Adjunct Percussion Instructor at Southwestern University. She has also served as Associate Band Director at Hernandez Middle School and Head Band Director at Grapevine and Belton High Schools.

A graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, Ms. Gill holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education, complemented by her principal certification from the Region 13 Education Service Center in Austin. Under her leadership, concert and percussion ensembles consistently achieved sweepstakes victories and excelled in ranked competitions, showcasing her commitment to excellence in music education.

Ms. Gill is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of music in her students, many of whom have pursued successful careers as music educators and performers. She is excited to serve the LTISD community, advocating for all fine arts programs and encouraging students to discover the transformative power of the arts in enhancing their academic and personal lives. As Director of Fine Arts, she provides guidance and support for K-12 performing and visual arts programs, ensuring a rich and rewarding experience for all students.
