Technical Director, Performing Arts Center

Laura Stokes is the Technical Director for the Performing Arts Center and teaches Technical Theatre 1, Advanced Technical Theatre 1, Technical Theatre 2, and Technical Theatre 3.  As Technical Director, Ms. Stokes is responsible for all aspects of scenery for the production season at the Performing Arts Center.  She also supervises student Stage Managers, and oversees many of the concerts and special events that occur in the PAC's theaters.

She received her bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre and a Master of Education from East Texas Baptist University.  At ETBU, she completed an internship for Hope Summer Repertory Theater in Holland, Michigan.  After graduating with her bachelor's degree ETBU hired Ms. Stokes to stage manage Fiddler on the Roof.  Over the years, she has been involved in over 50 productions.  Since coming to Lake Travis, technicians and crews under her guidance have been recognized multiple times at UIL One Act Play contests.

A native of Nacogdoches, Texas, Ms. Stokes is a graduate of Central Heights High School.  When not teaching, she enjoys exploring the nature that Austin has to offer and traveling the country.
