Our Team

Jennifer Garrigan began her role as the Director of Counseling and Health Services for Lake Travis ISD in November of 2024. With more than 14 years of experience in education and school counseling, she is dedicated to fostering students’ academic growth and social-emotional well-being. Jennifer leads the design and implementation of evidence-based counseling programs and oversees initiatives that strengthen school culture, safety, and academic achievement.

Before joining Lake Travis ISD, Jennifer served as the Director of Counseling and Student Support for Comal ISD, where she supported 90 school counselors and social workers across 37 campuses. Her professional background also includes higher education, having worked as a Senior Partnerships Coordinator for the OnRamps Dual Enrollment program at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she has served as a lead school counselor in Austin ISD, worked as a district-level Counseling Coordinator, and contributed to the crisis response team.

Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Education from California State University, Chico.
