Employee Recognition Programs

Lake Travis ISD is an exemplary district because of the dedicated staff who work here. Five times a year, three district employees will be celebrated with the “LT High5 Award” to recognize outstanding service beyond self that positively impacts fellow colleagues, students, parents, and/or the Lake Travis community. 

Nominations & Criteria

All Lake Travis ISD employees are eligible for this award. There is no official nomination form. At any time throughout the school year, any Lake Travis ISD employee may nominate another employee for the award by simply sending an email directly to info@ltisdschools.org.

Nominations must include:

• Name of nominee
• Nominee’s campus and/or department
• Detailed description of why the nominee deserves the LT High5 Award

Once submitted, nominations will remain active throughout the current school year. Please note, awards are for individuals only. Nominations for departments/groups will not be considered. 

Acknowledgment/Recognition

Employees will be recognized at their work site and be presented with a High5 gift card and LTISD tumbler. Award winners will also be recognized at a regular school board meeting during the current school year where they will be presented a certificate of recognition. Their stories will also be featured on LTISD social media, websites, and newsletters.

Heart Awards

Each campus selects one student, one teacher, one staff member, and one volunteer to receive this special honor. The heart award celebrates not only hard work, but also someone who at their core is kind, inclusive, and thoughtful, the type of person who makes everyone around them feel a little brighter.

Rising Stars

Rising Stars are teachers with 0–3 years of experience. While they may be newer to the profession, their dedication, heart, and care for students shine through each and every day.
