Grievances/Complaints

Lake Travis ISD offers a formal process to raise and resolve concerns. In our policies, “complaint” and “grievance” refer to the same process. Please use the links below to select your role, review the policy, and submit the correct form to the Superintendent's office via email at kelbaughs@ltisdschools.org, mail, or in person at 3322 Ranch Road 620 South, Austin, TX 78738.

Before You File

• Start with the campus or department that can address your concern; many issues are resolved quickly at that level.
• Deadlines apply. File within the timelines in policy, and keep copies of what you submit.
• Be specific. Include dates, names, and any documents that explain your concern.
• Retaliation for using the complaint process is prohibited.
• Need translation or disability accommodations? Contact your campus or the Legal Services Department so we can help you access the process.

Additional Reporting Options

• Safety, bullying, or personal crisis: submit a tip through the Cavs Who Care Tip Line. For emergencies, call 911.
• Sex discrimination or sexual harassment (Title IX): see our Title IX page for how to report and for coordinator contact information.
• Compliments or complaints involving LTISD Police: visit Police—Compliments and Complaints.
• Public records requests: use the Public Information Act page, not the grievance form.
