Transportation

The primary goal of the Lake Travis Independent School District's Transportation Department is to transport K-12 students to and from school safely and efficiently. To accomplish this goal, there are rules and responsibilities for each member of the transportation system which includes staff, students, and parents. We ask parents to become familiar with the rules and procedures and to discuss them with their child(ren).

Please note, Lake Travis ISD continues to experience a shortage of bus drivers. This is a challenge currently shared by many school districts across the nation. We will continue to evaluate staffing and make modifications as needed. We know any modifications to our transportation services may be challenging for some of our families, and we regret any inconvenience as a result of these changes.

We are working tirelessly to advertise and recruit drivers. We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we continue to do everything possible to safely and efficiently accommodate our increase in student ridership while addressing our driver shortage.
