Welcome to Transportation
The primary goal of the Lake Travis Independent School District's Transportation Department is transport students to and from school safely and efficiently. To accomplish this goal, there are rules and responsibilities for each member of the transportation system which includes staff, students, and parents. We ask parents to become familiar with the rules and procedures and to discuss them with their child(ren).
LTISD staff coordinate 72 morning and afternoon school bus routes daily. The district's fleet consists of 82 buses powered by ultra-low sulfur diesel. Approximately 5,000 students are transported by bus each day. During the 2017-2018 school year, LTISD bus drivers accumulated more than 1.3 million miles collectively.
Students who plan to ride the bus to and from school must enroll for transportation services. Transportation enrollment forms are included in the 2018-2019 New Student Enrollment Packet and 2018-2019 Returning Student Packet. To access those forms, please visit the Enrollment section of the District website.
