Hudson Bend Middle School is a community where all learners are known by name and need.
HBMS is a learner-centered school that educates all students with a methodology which reflects our community’s high expectations for character, leadership, and academic excellence.
The curriculum is designed around the core academic classes of mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. Students may select academic or Pre-Advanced Placement classes. The elective curriculum offers a broad array of course offerings including art, athletics, band, choir, dance, Gifted and Talented Discovery, health, orchestra, physical education, theater arts and yearbook, and several different technology classes. Students may also choose to take Gateway to Technology, Spanish, and Teen Leadership for high school credit.
Students at all grade levels have the opportunity to participate in University Interscholastic League academic competition, student council, National Junior Honor Society, and other faculty-sponsored clubs. UIL athletics is offered in Grades 7 and 8. Students may compete in football, volleyball, basketball, cross country, track and field, soccer, tennis, and golf.
