Meet Deanna McParland - School Principal
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Deanna McParland
I am thrilled to say this is my third year as the principal of Bee Cave Elementary. Before coming to Lake Travis ISD, I worked as an elementary principal for four years in Austin ISD. Previous to being a principal, I have been an assistant principal at both the elementary and secondary level. I have also worked as a district math facilitator as well as classroom teacher for both general education classes and GT classes.
I received my degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, GO LONGHORNS, and have lived in Austin, Texas since 1997. It is at UT where I met my husband, David McParland, and we have loved living in the city and being a part of this area ever since. David, like many of our community members and parents, works for a high tech company in Austin and keeps me up to speed with what’s going on with technology due to his connections within the field.
I have one very active three year son, named Travis. He is my absolute love and joy and is a proud LTISD student. He keeps us on our toes! Our family is made up of outdoor enthusiasts. You can often find us hiking trails around Austin, running Town Lake, or enjoying many of the wonderful outdoor activities that this area provides.
I believe that today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. I truly believe that all children need a solid education regardless of what field of employment they eventually enter. I want our students to dream about obtaining jobs that fuel their passions, instead of just settling for a job that will cover the bills, which is why I believe so dearly in being an educator. I want to instill the concept of being a life-long leaner to our students here at Bee Cave Elementary. I thank you for giving me this opportunity to work with your sons and daughters, and am very proud to be a Bee Cave Bobcat.
