Serene Hills Elementary School (SHE) is a positive learning environment geared to meet the varied academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of our students. Teachers, staff, parents, and community volunteers support students in developing self-esteem, problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for life-long learning.
Language arts, math, science, social studies, and technology skills are addressed in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (T.E.K.S.) as required by law. Teachers are trained to differentiate instruction to address students’ individual strengths and weaknesses. Training includes, but it not limited to the following: formative assessment, summative assessment, small group guided instruction, project based learning, and enrichment strategies.
On a rotating basis, the campus offers art, music, and physical education. Students also access technology, media resources, and counseling support. Students are also offered opportunities to engage in the following:
Student Council (3rd-5th)
Class Buddies (K – 5th)
Safety Patrol (5th)
Kardivas Girls Club (5th)
