• WCHE – 2nd Grade Team 2019-2020

    Ashley Burns – Ms. Burns grew up in Plano, Texas, and graduated from Texas State University.  She loves teaching and is in her 4th year of teaching.  Ms. Burns loves playing with her chocolate Lab, Chevy, and loves to travel. 

    Beth Gardner – Ms. Gardner enjoys jet skiing, hockey, and loves the LTHS Marching Band.  Her son graduated from LTHS last year.  Their family has a dog named Pearl and a cat named Wisdom.  This is Ms. Gardner’s 3rd year teaching at WCHE. 

    Linda Holt – Mrs. Holt and her family are long-time Lake Travis residents and own one of our local restaurants.   She began her teaching career at Lake Travis Elementary when it was the only elementary school in the LTISD.  Her three sons are graduates of LTHS.  Go Cavs! 

    Alice Johnson – Mrs. Johnson earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Texas A & M University and her Master’s Degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  She lives in Spicewood with her husband, three children, and their dog.  This is her 14th year of teaching.  Last year, her peers named her WCHE Teacher of the Year.

    Chandler Luke – Mrs. Luke grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana.  She is a Louisiana State University graduate.  This is her 6th year of teaching.  She lives in South Austin with her husband and two Golden Retrievers, Finn and Levi.  Mrs. Luke enjoys reading, going to the movies, and spending time with family.

    Kenny Luster – Mr. Luster is from Houston and moved here with his lovely wife and two daughters.  He’s a graduate of the University of Houston-Downtown.  He enjoys playing basketball and is a diehard Longhorn fan.  Mr. Luster loves teaching and has been teaching for eleven years.

    Heather Wachsmann - This is Ms. Wachsmann's 1st year at West Cypress Hills Elementary, and she is proud to be a Tiger!  Prior to joining the WCHE time, she taught a total of 12 years in Leander and Lorena, Texas.  All of her teaching experience has been in first and second grades.  Ms. Wachsmann graduated with both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from Texas State University.  She, also, has her principal and ESL certifications.
