LTISD Board of Trustees Vision Statement

LTISD Board of Trustees 2023

Lake Travis ISD Board of Trustees Vision Statement:

"Our vision is to be a unified team of trustees dedicated to providing leadership through honoring and supporting the superintendent and staff of the Lake Travis Independent School District; fostering accountability and continuous improvement, while advocating for the benefit of all students of our District and beyond."

The Board of Trustees consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, overlapping terms of three years each. Trustees are elected for rotating three-year terms; elections are held annually in May. Although candidates run for specific places, they do not represent specific geographical areas. Rather, each represents Lake Travis ISD at-large. Following the annual election, the Board elects a president, vice-president and secretary to serve one-year terms.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting policies, establishing an annual budget and selecting the Superintendent. Read the Board-adopted Core Commitment. Download the Board Member's Board Creed, Code Of Ethics and Board Operating Procedures.

To express a concern regarding a specific school, teacher or child, dialogue should begin at the level closest to the concern.
