Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster is pleased to announce the selection of Keegan Luedecke as principal of Serene Hills Elementary School, effective July 1. She currently serves as the school's assistant principal.
"Mrs. Luedecke received overwhelming support from SHE staff for her ability and preparedness to serve as the school’s next principal," said Dr. Lancaster. "My conversations with her only confirmed that endorsement."
Although born into a military family and having lived in numerous places, Mrs. Luedecke calls Copperas Cove her home. After graduating from Copperas Cove High School, she earned a Bachelors of Professional Studies degree from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Master's in Education Administration degree from Lamar University. Mrs. Luedecke possesses nine years of professional teaching experience in first, third and fourth grades in the Copperas Cove and Lake Travis school districts. She began her tenure at LTISD in 2010 as a 1st grade teacher at Lakeway Elementary School. A member of the District’s inaugural class of the Future Administrators Leadership Academy (FALA), Mrs. Luedecke assumed the duties and responsibilities as Assistant Principal at Serene Hills Elementary School in 2017. She and her husband Ryan—who is the Defensive Coordinator for Lake Travis Football—have a son Landon, and a daughter LeighAnne.
"I ask staff and parents to join me in congratulating Mrs. Luedecke on her promotion to principal of Serene Hills Elementary."
