Superintendent announces new position, promotion to Curriculum and Instruction

Lake Travis ISD Superintendent of Schools Paul Norton is pleased to announce that Lyndsae Benton has been selected to serve as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, effective July 1.
Dr. Benton has held numerous positions throughout her 25-year career in public education including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and administrator in the Crowley, Everman, and Waco school districts. She has also served in leadership roles with Education Service Center Region 11. Dr. Benton joined LTISD in July 2021 as Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.
The Executive Director for Curriculum and Instruction is a new position for Lake Travis ISD. Some of Dr. Benton's major job functions will be facilitating recommendations from the District's recent curriculum audit, aligning opportunities for staff development, providing direct support to instructional coaches, and working with campus administrators.
Additionally, Amanda Prehn has been selected to serve as Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, effective July 1. Ms. Prehn joined LTISD in 2015 and possesses nearly 20 years of experience as a teacher, AP, and principal in three districts. Most recently, she served as Principal of Bee Cave Middle School.
