School Board Approves 2026-2027 Instructional Calendar

The Lake Travis school board approved the 2026-2027 instructional calendar during its regular meeting held November 19.

According to the calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year, the first day of school will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026 and the last day of instruction will be Thursday, May 27, 2027.

Please note, TEA will release its application for Professional Development waivers in the spring. Lake Travis ISD will request Monday, September 21 as well as Friday, October 30, Tuesday, January 5, and Thursday, February 11 to be used as Professional Development for staff (no school for students).

The district will observe Thursday, May 27, 2027 as an Early Release Day. On that day, students will be released from elementary schools at 11:40 am and secondary campuses at 12:50 pm. Lake Travis High School will have additional Early Release Days on Thursday, December 17, 2026 and Wednesday, May 26, 2027.
